Louisiana Crawfish Comes Back to Downtown Orlando For The 2nd Year Every Tuesday & Saturday at 5:00 PM
Beginning February 3, 2009

Remember back in the 1990’s when you could go downtown to Church Street on Tuesdays and eat Louisiana Crawfish at Sloppy Joes during their Fat Tuesday Happy Hour and enjoy your fill in Louisiana crawfish and do so every Tuesday during the crawfish season? Those were the days!

Well, Sloppy Joes has since folded and crawfish every Tuesday went by the wayside downtown. Church Street has worn many faces over the years and continues to do so. Good crawfish seemed to be a thing of the past.

One thing that hasn’t changed since the early 1990’s is the
Central Florida Rajuncajun Crawfish Festival that enters its 20th year April 18, 2009. This event started in a back yard in 1989 in Isle of Pines across from Moss Park and quickly evolved to the annual festival that it is today. This festival is produced and catered by our company; the Crawfish Company Of Central Florida, Inc. It is the annual fund raiser for the Isle of Pines Property Owners Association. 500 tickets went on sale this year January 15, 2008 and were sold out by 2:45 PM the same day. It sounds like we still have some serious crawfish eaters in the central Florida area.

Well folks, the owners of
Cottage Irish Pubs Inc. and the Crawfish Company Of Central Florida, Inc. have expanded and added a third corporation called the Cajun Paddy Inc. doing business as the Harp and Celt Restaurant and Irish Pub. We opened for business in the historic district of downtown Orlando at 25 South Magnolia Avenue on August 14, 2007. The Louisiana influence mixed with the Irish influence along with quality home cooked food prepared with tender loving care and good service creates an atmosphere that is second to none.

We brought back the tradition of eating Louisiana crawfish every Tuesday during happy hour Jan. 29, 2008. The season ended the end of July 2008. Starting Tuesday, February 10, 2009 we will again be serving our
Louisiana Crawfish flown in live and prepared onsite at the Celt Irish Pub. Our seafood division is based in New Orleans, Louisiana and yes, we are our own suppliers.

You are personally invited to come on down to the Celt Irish Pub every Tuesday and Saturday in the historic district of downtown Orlando at 25 South Magnolia Avenue and enjoy our Louisiana crawfish from 5 PM until they run out. Cost is $7.00 per 1 pound, $13.00 for two pounds and $30.00 for 5 pounds.

Take The Crawfish Challenge!

Additionally, you are invited to attend our 2nd Annual Fat Tuesday on February 24, 2009 at the Harp and Celt and enjoy some good old fashioned Louisiana cooking as well as our crawfish and drink specials while listening to some great Cajun Zydeco music mixed with some traditional Irish music. Yes, the best of two great cultures.

Finally, thank you all for making our dream of opening a restaurant and Irish Pub downtown come true by supporting the Crawfish Company of Central Florida, Inc. and the Claddagh Cottage Irish Pub over the years and by attending one of the most sought after events in Central Florida, The Rajuncajun Crawfish Festival.
